Have any connection between PCOS & Sugar intake ?

Now a days Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects approximately 13-18% of girls/ women in India. The initial recommendation by doctors typically includes lifestyle modifications such as exercise and dietary changes. Especially the intake of sweets.
The glucose in blood gives us energy and we get this glucose from the ingested food. Insulin, a hormone secreted by Pancreas, helps in the metabolism of glucose or blood sugar.
The impaired functioning of insulin hormone causes a rise in blood sugar, ultimately causing insulin resistance in the body.In pcod patients or In people with pcod complaints, this high insulin production causes the release of male hormone testosterone.Elevated testosterone levels can, in turn, trigger male-pattern hair growth in areas such as the upper lip, chin, and chest.
Thus controlling the blood sugar levels can help to reduce insulin secretion and subsequently lower testosterone levels in PCOD conditions.
