Negative impacts of Essential Oils

Are you using Essential oils in your daily grooming or aromatherapy?
Are you a great fan of essential oils?
Then please spend a few minutes reading this blog.
Words like “all-natural,” “herbal,” and “organic” convey and mislead people that the product or ingredients are “all-safe.” It is necessary to understand that being natural/herbal etc. does not indicate that it is 100% safe. The same applies in the case of essential oils as well. Even though they are plant derivatives it is essential to check on these before applying them topically or putting them into your diffuser. Essential oils are often sold as pure products, but it's vital to understand that their complicated formulation exposes the skin to a wide range of potential allergies.
Emerging research has shown that these oils could have impacts on our hormones (endocrine system), may be allergic or may cause skin irritation. These may vary between individuals.
There are examples linking the use of lavender oil and early breast development in girls and, lavender and tea tree oils might be linked to abnormal breast tissue development in males (gynecomastia). The allergic reactions might vary in intensity, from sneezing and mild itching to more serious ones like breathing difficulties.
So, it is advisable to steer clear of essential oils with children, pregnant women, and individuals with hormonal issues.
To conclude, I would like to emphasize that it is crucial to consult with a trustworthy medical expert before incorporating new ingredients both externally and internally.
